Our standards & practices

Health testing & screening

Question. Do you health test in accordance with the current standards and recommended guidelines for your breed? Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable).
Answer. Yes.I breed with only type A blood groups. I have started doing my tests using Orivet. The full DNA profile.

Preparation & socialisation

Question. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation?
Answer. Yes.All kittens are raised in our home. I breed for health and temperment. Kittens raised at Cub Kingdom have the whole house to explore. They are socialised by myself and my son. Finding their forever person/ forever home is very important to us.

Placement & matching

Question. Is ensuring that your kittens go to the right home a high priority? How do you ensure that the kitten will be a good fit, and be well cared for in its new home? Do you have a verbal or personal interview?
Answer. Yes.100% it's important. I like to start with a phone conversation. I ask questions like, what animals do you currently have? Where the cat would be spending most of its time? Do they have children? Do they have time to spend with cat if they are working as i dont want the cat to be alone, stressed, etc. And another big one is I make it clear that we do not want our babies roaming free on streets. Being an indoor/ outdoor cat do they have an adequate catio where the cat can go out to sun bathe safely etc
Question. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide?
Answer. Yes.There is a contract, kitten packs and kitten information provided. I dont sell kittens to people that are not familiarised with this type of breed. I also let them know they are more than welcome to reach out to me if they have any questions in the future. Infact I encourage that.

Insurance options

Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Answer. No.I do not. However i do suggest to new owners that pet insurance is a great idea.

Ongoing support

Question. Do you offer ongoing support? For example: Help with introducing a kitten to other animals; help with any health or behavioural problems that might occur.
Answer. Yes.This is all done verbally and as answered in previous questions.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a kitten or cat if for some reason the new family are unable to care for it?
Answer. Yes.Yes. 100% i do not want to see this breed in shelters or rescues. Especially my babies
