Labrador Retriever Dog Breeder - QLD

Our purpose is to breed sound Labrador Retrievers with good temperaments. We make sure both parents are hip and elbow scored and test the parents for genetic diseases to ensure all the puppies are unaffected from these known genetic diseases.

All our dogs live with us in the house and are part of our family. They love to help us raising the puppies.

We are registered with Dogs Queensland (ANKC Member: 4100178935), please feel free to verify this information on the ANKC website.

Breeder Questionnaire

Question. Do you health test appropriately (eg hip and elbow X-ray scoring, DNA testing), and understand the genetic issues that may affect your breed? Do you have sensible, sustainable breeding strategies in place to promote the health of your dogs and puppies?
Yes
We only breed healthy, sound dogs that are tested for both hip and elbows and genetics are screened with good results and not affected of anything.
Question. Do you ensure that your puppies are properly socialised?
Yes
We have 3 kids and when we have puppies we have a lot of visits of people that want to see them. We do play sessions every day where puppies can run around and explore the property.
Question. Do you have any of the following: conditions of sale, health guarantee or warranty, de-sexing agreement, a buyer questionnaire, verbal or personal interview?
Yes
We have a buyer questionnaire for us to see if the applicant is suitable for us. We do have a puppy sale agreement too. I do everything in my power to produce healthy puppies. But as with all living beings, there is no full certainty how health develops throughout the life cycle. We need to accept that different breeds are predisposed to different illnesses. We can do our best with these genetic tests and scoring but this will not cover all possible outcomes and environmental impacts.
Question. Is ensuring that your puppies go to the right home a high priority? What type of measures do you take to ensure your dogs and puppies are going to go to loving homes?
Yes
I prioritise for families and retired people, or people that work shift work, part time or from home. People that do have time for the dog. With the questionnaire I get a good feeling how committed they are, how experienced and also if they are aware of the financial side of things. We also send a lot of information to the owners while the puppies are here to get them ready for their boisterous puppy.
Question. Do you offer ongoing support?
Yes
I am always there if needed.
Question. In the long term, do you assist with re-homing a puppy or dog if for some reason the new family are no longer able to care for it?
Yes
Yes!
Question. Do you offer pet insurance?
Yes
Yes, first 6 weeks.
