Mariah was found wandering the streets and was taken in by one of our vets around Christmas time, earning her the affectionate title of our "Christmas kitten" and the name Mariah.

This little miss is a petite tortoiseshell with a pristine white muzzle, bib, and paws which is a trait with torties. This friendly little kitty is very human-focused and would make an excellent emotional support cat. Though she enjoys playing with her foster siblings, she spends a lot of her time quietly keeping her foster mum company, often engaging in their favourite game, patty paws.

Mariah's mission is to provide comfort and love, and she seeks the same in return. She loves sleeping next to her foster mom's pillow when they go to bed at night. She is truly a special soul, and anyone who adopts her will be incredibly lucky. They say torites have a "tortitude" but Mariah exhibits a sweet disposition where she just loves to be with you.

This sweet, caring girl had a few issues when she came into care with us, and she has been nursed through her issues and come out the other side like the little rock star she is. She will always need large, fresh bowls of water around the house (fresh a few times a day) as the vet suspects she has survived FIP (viral disease caused by a mutated feline coronavirus that affects cats). Along with lots of water means a clean litter box please, this girl has her hygiene standards set high.

To add to her quirks and tough beginning, she has slightly misshapen pupils that make her look slightly cross eyed. She adores her food, yours and hers! We think it comes from being a baby street kitty, so she will always look to be well feed. For her quirks we do classify her as special needs as we want to make sure she goes to a home that will understand her needs and will take as good a care of her as she will of you - that is simply how she is, a caring girl.

She would love a sunny window to watch the world go by and a tall scratching post to do her pedi and view her surrounds.

While Mariah can be adopted on her own, but she has a special bond with her foster brother, Ginger Potato, another sweet cat who is also looking for a home. They get along famously and would make a wonderful pair and any home would be lucky to have them.

Mariah Catty is a healthy raw/high quality fed kitten who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010006711743, source #RE101165). She is available for adoption right now!
